Exploratory Tunnel Construction – Contractor Outreach Briefing

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC)

The Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project

KYTC will conduct a Contractor Outreach Briefing for the construction of an exploratory tunnel and access ramp for geotechnical investigation for the design and construction of proposed twin highway tunnels on the Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project located in Jefferson County, KY. The briefing will focus on construction of the approximate 12 foot square, 1800 foot long exploratory tunnel using drill and blast or mechanical (i.e., roadheader) methods.

All firms interested in serving as a Prime Contractor, as part of a Joint Venture, or as a subconsultant are encouraged to attend. KYTC promotes the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. Along with a project overview, time will be allotted to afford networking opportunities for Contractors.

Note: In addition to the typical pre-qualification requirements of all Contractors to perform work for KYTC, interested parties will be required to submit a pre-approval application to bid on this Contract.
