Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. provides civil engineering services. We have been in business since 1992. Our services include sanitary sewer design, small roadway design, intersection improvements, erosion prevention and sediment control plan preparation, water main design and design of drainage improvements.

 

What does your company do on the Ohio River Bridges Project? We are working with the drainage design group managed by QK4, developing the proposed storm water design system for a small portion of the Kennedy Interchange. We are also assisting the right of way design group, managed by Palmer Engineering, developing right of way parcel descriptions needed for the proposed roadway design.

 

What is your educational background? I earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky.

 

What is your business philosophy? To provide quality engineering service while staying within the project’s schedule and budget. We strive to accomplish our goals with honesty and integrity, day in and day out. By following this philosophy, we believe more opportunities will come our way and our business will continue to grow.

 

What do you like best about your business? My business has given me the opportunity to learn more about many aspects of civil engineering design. My business has also allowed me to build relationships with a wide variety of people on both a business and personal level.

 

What are some of the important lessons you have learned? Communication is a key ingredient in every project, large or small. When you are honest with the people you are working with, everything works out for the best.
