FastTrac® Program Outlines

Listening to Your Business, the half-day workshop, has been held in both Louisville and Lexington and future programs are planned throughout the state. In Listening to Your Business, participants follow a four-step process to identify a three-year vision for the business, to take a realistic look at where the business is presently, to evaluate what planning tools are currently being used and to lay out transition tactics needed to reach that three-year vision.

FastTrac GrowthVenture
On January 15, 2008, The KY DBE Program launched the first GrowthVenture program for certified DBEs. Participants graduated on March 25 and many continue gathering monthly to work on the strategic business development skills they acquired during the 10-week program.

Expert Speakers Share Knowledge and Offer Assistance
For each weekly module in GrowthVenture, expert speakers provide knowledge about the specific subject matter, including using financial tools strategically, leadership skills and marketing. The volunteer speakers range from marketing directors, bankers and CPAs to Small Business Development Center (SBDC) directors and SCORE existing business counselors offering free support, coaching and mentoring services.

GrowthVenture Program Summary
